But you do have to be present. You do have to be intentional. And you do have to be willing to let God heal you so you can raise healed children.

Because if we do not get this right, we lose more than a generation. We lose the Kingdom impact they were created to carry.

A word from Shirley

In her own words.

As a little girl, I remember sitting on my swing, asking God, "Why was I born into this family?" Little did I know that I wouldn't receive the answer until I was 70 years old! Don't tell me God doesn't answer prayers! He may not come when you want Him, but He's always right on time.

Whether you believe you were born into the right family or not, understand this: God does not make mistakes. He knows exactly what He is doing. As parents, we must learn to align our will with His.

Children are among God's most precious blessings, but here's something we must understand: Our children do not belong to us. They have been entrusted to our care by God. And if you believe your children belong to you to raise however you please, that's exactly why you need to read this book!

It's time to get out of our own way, stop leaning on our own understanding, and look to the One from whom our help comes. It's time to stop doing things OUR way and start learning from THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, JESUS CHRIST! Our children deserve better, and it begins with US! Let's go!
